The Dallas Morning News’ Top 100 Places to Work | 2016

CHC was named among The Dallas Morning News’ 2016 Top 100 Places to Work, the second year CHC has been named a winner in the small company category. The announcement was made at a special luncheon on November 17, 2016, attended by CHC employees. CHC was selected based on an independent and anonymous survey of its employees, conducted by Workplace Dynamics, The Dallas Morning News’ research partner. Read more and see the 2016 CHC team video.

 

Cindy Matthews Named Among Top 15 Business Women in Dallas

CHC Executive Vice President Cindy Matthews was named among Dallas' Top 15 Business Women by the National Diversity Council in November 2016. This prestigious award recognizes outstanding leaders who have reached the top of their profession, drive strategy for their organization and inspire others to succeed. Read More.

 

HealthTrust 2016 Outstanding Member Award  

CHC received the 2016 Outstanding Member Award from HealthTrust, the nation’s third-largest group purchasing organization (GPO), and CHC's partner in providing competitively priced supplies and services to the hospitals CHC serves. The award was presented to the CHC Supply Trust team at the HealthTrust Annual Conference in August of 2016.

 

Becker’s Hospital Review’s 150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare | 2016  

For the second consecutive year, CHC was named among the 150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare for 2016 by Becker’s Hospital Review. CHC is honored by this recognition, announced on March 21, 2016. Award criteria include benefits and wellness offerings, a commitment to diversity and inclusion, as well as workplace culture, work-life balance and employee satisfaction scores. 2016 Trailblazer Award

CHC was recognized as winner of the 2016 Trailblazer Award at Healthcare IQ's March conference held in St. Petersburg, Fla., in March 2016. The HCIQ Trailblazer Award recognizes the organization demonstrating the highest performance in the areas of spend management. Members of the CHC Supply Trust team use the HCIQ analytic tool on a daily basis to manage data of up to 30 facilities with 11 different MMIS systems. The announcement was made at a special luncheon on November 12, 2015, attended by CHC employees. CHC was selected based on an independent and anonymous survey of its employees, conducted by Workplace Dynamics, The Dallas Morning News’ research partner. Becker’s Hospital Review’s 150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare | 2015  

CHC was recognized early in 2015 as one of the 150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare by Becker’s Hospital Review. That announcement by the Becker's editorial team was based on an array of CHC characteristics – from benefits offerings and wellness initiatives to diversity, professional development, work-life balance and a sense of community among employees. Michael Williams Receives Texas Hospital Association’s Earl M. Collier Award for Distinguished Health Care Administration | 2014 

Williams, who received the Texas Hospital Association's highest honor in 2014, the Earl M. Collier Award for Distinguished Health Care Administration, attributed the award to the CHC team at large. The THA award recognizes distinguished executives for their contributions to, and leadership in, the healthcare industry, as well as their active participation in THA and other industry groups. Hospital Awards & Recognition

 

Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas received the Texas Health Care Quality Improvement Award. The honor is given to Texas hospitals performing quality initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes in patient care. Read more. 

 

Burke Medical Center received the Workers Compensation Safety Award and the Department of Community Health Champion award for Rural Health.

 

Community Hospital in McCook, Nebraska was honored for “5-Star Customer Service” excellence from Professional Research Consultants. Community also has received The Joint Commission’s Top Performer on Key Quality Measures® award. Read more.

 

Local, state and national awards reflect a legacy of excellence in patient care and patient safety for Great Plains Health. Great Plains is also a Level III-designated trauma center, recognized for quality emergency care. Read more.

 

Jellico Community Hospital achieved a “5-star” rating for patient satisfaction in 2015 from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, one of only 251 hospitals throughout the country who received this recognition. Read more.

 

LaSalle General Hospital awards include recognition by the American Cancer Society as the Top Overall Fundraising Team for the LaSalle Parish Relay for Life initiative.

  

For two years in a row, Monroe County Hospital has accepted the Georgia Hospital Association’s Partnership for Health and Accountability’s Quality and Safety Award.

  

Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital is the only state-certified Level III Trauma Center in deep East Texas. The hospital’s Chest Pain Center is also accredited for clinical best practices. Read more.

 

For its high-quality patient care and safety through application of recognized standards, Pineville Community Hospital has been recognized by the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program.

 

The TMF Health Quality Institute, the Medicare quality improvement organization for Texas, awarded St. Mark’s Medical Center with its Silver Award for improving patient outcomes on select national quality measures.

 

An affiliate of Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals and Clinics in Tyler, Texas, Trinity Mother Frances Hospital – Winnsboro has received the Texas Hospital Quality Improvement Award.

 

Tyler ContinueCARE Hospital at Trinity Mother Frances received an “Overall Physician Satisfaction” award from HealthStream, Inc., for excellence in medical staff satisfaction. Read more.

 

Union County General Hospital is a New Mexico Department of Health Level IV-designated Trauma Center. This recognition acknowledges the specialized services the hospital provides to patients suffering from traumatic injuries.

 

Wills Memorial Hospital is recognized as Critical Access Hospital accredited by The Joint Commission.

 

Yoakum Community Hospital was honored as one of the “100 Great Community Hospitals” by Becker’s Hospital Review. Yoakum also has received the Texas Health Care Quality Improvement Bronze Award.
