Community Hospital Corporation Announces Four Leadership Promotions


Dallas, TX (August 2, 2010) – Community Hospital Corporation (CHC) announced today the promotion of four current members of the CHC leadership team. These four executives serve in the areas of Strategic Development, Consulting, Supply Chain and IT. Advancing the talent within our organization positions CHC for continued growth.

 

Cindy Matthews has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Community Hospital Consulting, the management and consulting arm of CHC. She specializes in marketing and strategic development and has over 25 years experience in the healthcare industry. Before joining CHC in 2007, Cindy was a principal with Meritage Healthcare Strategies, a healthcare consulting firm. Cindy also served as Vice President of Marketing at Baylor Health Care System, Dallas, Texas. She received a MS degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas and a MBA from the University of Dallas. Currently, she serves as an Adjunct Professor at LeTourneau University in Dallas where she teaches classes in Marketing, Management and Leadership.

 

Mike Bowers has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Community Hospital Consulting. Mike has been with CHC since March 2006. He brings diverse management experience from both large and small not-for-profit hospital settings, including the role of Chief Operating Officer of Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital and Assistant Vice President of Operations for Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas. Mike is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and holds a Masters in Business Administration and a Masters in Healthcare Administration from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. He is also a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.

 

Tony Ybarra has been promoted to Senior Vice-President of Supply Chain. Prior to joining CHC in January 2007, Tony managed the corporate materials management department for United Surgical Partners International, servicing 138 surgery centers nationwide. Tony is a graduate of University of California, Los Angeles. Tony is an active member of the Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management (AHRMM) and The Council of Supply Chain Executives.

 

Brian Doerr has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Information Technology. He has been with CHC since July 2008. Previously, Brian worked as the Senior Vice President of Technology Services at Argyle-Solutions and also served as Director of Revenue Reporting and Analysis at Triad Hospitals in Plano. Brian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan.
