Baptist Beaumont Hospital Recognized for Years of Excellence in Nursing Services

In 2007, Baptist Beaumont Hospital earned the Magnet Recognition for excellence in nursing services by the American Nurses Credential Center’s (ANCC) Magnet Recognition Program which is one of the highest levels of recognition a hospital can achieve. Only seven percent of the nation’s eligible hospitals have earned this prestigious award. Magnet status is awarded to those hospitals that go above and beyond the strict criteria designed to measure the strength and quality of their nursing care. This national recognition allows nursing to deliver excellent patient outcomes, promotes a high level of job satisfaction, and guarantees low staff nurse turnover rate.

The benefits of this certification are immense to Baptist Beaumont Hospital, the individual nurses and most importantly, to the patients. Certified nurses are more capable, accountable and confident in their practice. Studies have shown that certified nurses practice in a manner that is most likely to improve patient outcomes. Other research has revealed that three out of four patients are much more likely to select a hospital employing a high percentage of certified nurses.

For over sixty years, Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas has been dedicated to providing quality health services and Sacred Work in a Christian environment.
